Rude Boy

Peruvian-born, Miami-raised electro freak Rude Boy (real name Silvia Silva) began her eclectic journey into the world of electronic music at the first listen of Recess by Skrillex in 2014. Upon arriving at the U of Miami and joining WVUM, she established her ongoing radio show “Glitched!”, a digital audio fantasy showcasing the sounds of ambient, jungle, UK garage and ghetto tech, accompanied by musical critique and commentary. When it comes to DJing, she takes inspiration from the Miami bass she grew up listening to as well as the Original Rudeboy Sound from all the way across the pond.
